“Robin Hood”

FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE REVIEW: I got more blu-rays today and one of them is called “Robin Hood” starring Russell Crowe (Gladiator), Cate Blanchett (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Lord of the Rings), and is directed by Ridley Scott who directed Gladiator. This movie is about how Robin Hood was born. When king Richard dies in Battle at France, his archer Tobin Longstride along with friends Will Scarlett, little John, and Alan-a-Dale head off to England. On their way there, they stumble upon their own warriors in an ambush of the vicious Godfrey. Among the ambushed group is a dying man named Robert who gives Robin the task of taking his sword back to his blind father where it rightfully belongs. While in England, Robin takes back the crown of the dead king to the king’s mother who then bestows the crown to his bad brother John. After that is finished, Robin takes back the sword to Robert’s father who then gets Robin to be his fake son so he can keep the marriage to Robert’s wife so she can keep the land when Robert’s dad dies. While all of this is happening, Godfrey is building up France’s army to storm every town in England and give every piece of land to the king of France. I enjoyed the action scenes in the movie especially the ending and I thought the plot and acting was great. I recommend this to anyone who has seen Gladiator or likes the Robin Hood character. FINAL SCORE: 77%= Juicy Popcorn
