FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE REVIEW: Last night, I got to see a movie that I have been wanting to see a while called “Jobs” which stars Ashton Kutcher (That 70’s Show, What Happens in Vegas), Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Grey), Josh Gad (Frozen, Love &  Other Drugs), Lukas Haas (Inception, Brick), Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket, The Dark Knight Rises), and J.K. Simmons (The Closer, Spider-Man). This movie is basically the life of Steve Jobs in connection with Apple. The film starts in 2001 when Steve introduces the iPod and then cuts to 1974 when he drops out of college. The movie’s timeline spans from 1974 to 1998 from Steve and co-founder Wozniak creating the Apple I in his parent’s garage to him becoming CEO of Apple once again. It includes a bunch of stress and trauma that was put on Steve and all the things that he had to go through to get to his biggest successes. I thought the movie was ok. It provided me with information that I didn’t know before which was good and the acting was good too. The movie did drag in parts throughout the movie though, and it didn’t show Steve’s whole life, but really his connection with making Apple what it is. Also, in the movie, Steve seemed a bit of a jerk to everyone (and I don’t know if that’s true or not because I didn’t know him on a personal level) and it really made me think in a different way about him. Overall the movie was alright and if anyone wants to know anything of how Apple got to be where it is today, you should watch it! FINAL SCORE: 77%= Juicy Popcorn
