“Captain America: The First Avenger”

BONUS MOVIE REVIEW: Since I got this movie on Blu-ray not that long ago, I decided to watch this movie again. The movie is called “Captain America: The First Avenger” which stars Chris Evans (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Fantastic Four), Hayley Atwell (The Duchess, The Sweeney), Sebastian Stan (Black Swan, Rachel Getting Married), Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive, Men in Black), Hugo Weaving (The Matrix, V for Vendetta), Dominic Cooper (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Need for Speed), Richard Armitage (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Robin Hood (2006)), Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games, The Terminal), Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Incredibles), and Toby Jones (The Mist, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secret). Steve Rogers always wanted to serve his country in the war. Now that World War II has come along, he has been signing up constantly to get in the war, but since he is very small and skinny, no one will draft him in. That is until a scientist named Dr. Erskine sees talent in Rogers and signs him up for the super soldier program. After rigorous training, Dr. Erskine inducts Rogers into a machine that then transforms him into the strong, super soldier that we know as Captain America. He becomes the only super soldier though because right after, Dr. Erskine gets assassinated so they can’t make anymore. It then goes onto Captain America going to war to fight Hydra and to stop Red Skull from his evil plans. I thought the movie was good. The sequel was way better (which is weird). The acting was good, there was good action, and the story was good. The only cons was that in some ways it dragged and they made Captain America into more of a figure-head than an awesome soldier in this movie. FINAL SCORE: 81%= Juicy Popcorn
