BONUS MOVIE REVIEW: With “Transformers: Age of Extinction” approaching us fast, I wanted to relive the three movies before it and review them. I bought the trilogy on Blu-ray recently and now I am going to review every Transformer movie before the release of the newest addition. So, lets kick it off with “Transformers” which stars Shia LaBeouf (Holes, Disturbia), Megan Fox (This is 40, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)), Josh Duhamel (Safe Haven, Ramona and Beezus), Tyrese Gibson (2 Fast 2 Furious, Death Race), Rachael Taylor (Red Dog, The Darkest Hour), Anthony Anderson (Kangaroo Jack, The Departed), Jon Voight (Mission: Impossible, Heat), John Turturro (O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Mr. Deeds), Michael O’Neill (Dallas Buyers Club, Seabiscuit), Kevin Dunn (Warrior, Jobs), Julie White (Michael Clayton, War of the Worlds), Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break, A Good Day to Die Hard), and Zack Ward (A Christmas Story, Postal). After a war between Autobots and Decepticons that ravaged Cybertron over a very powerful cube named the Allspark, the Autobots were able to get it off the planet and send it to Earth. Megatron, leader of the Decepticons, finds out what planet it is on though, and travels there only to get frozen in the arctic in the 1800s. Captain Archibald Witwicky finds him accidentally, turning Megatron on long enough for him to engrave the map to the Allspark in his glasses and send a message to Cybertron about it. The captain then takes the robot on his ship to study it. A century later, the captains grandson Sam Witwicky puts the glasses on eBay and the robots find out about it. Bumblebee gets to him first, disguised as a Camaro and becomes his guardian. The rest of the Autobots join him and they then set a plan to destroy the Allspark before Megatron can get to it and use its power. Sam then gets the help of his love interest Mikaela (Fox) and the military to get this plan executed. I enjoyed this movie for the story, the action, the special effects, the acting, and the sense of humor of it. This movie is the strongest one out of all the three, but all of them are great. The cons of this movie would be that the ending was kind of dumb in a sense of how they worked up all of that to destroy it the way they did and how it took a while to get to the battles and cars transforming. Overall, anyone who hasn’t seen this, I definitely recommend it! FINAL SCORE: 86%= Juicy Popcorn
