BONUS MOVIE REVIEW: Recently I got the blu-ray trilogy of “The Matrix” and, having not seen it before, watched the first movie. It stars Keanu Reeves (47 Ronin, Constantine), Laurence Fishburne (The Colony, Man of Steel), Carrie-Anne Moss (Disturbia, Chocolat), Hugo Weaving (Captain America: The First Avenger, Cloud Atlas), Gloria Foster (Leonard Part 6, Separate But Equal), Joe Pantoliano (Memento, The Fugitive), Marcus Chong (The Crow: Wicked Prayer, Panther), Julian Arahanga (Once Were Warriors), Matt Doran (Home and Away, Star Wars: Episode II- Attack of the Clones), Belinda McClory (Darklovestory, Mullet), Anthony Ray Parker (The Marine, The Frighteners), Paul Goddard (Babe, Farscape), Robert Taylor (Longmire, Vertical Limit), and David Aston (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King). This movie is about this guy named Thomas A. Anderson (Reeves) who lives two separate lives. In daytime he is just another average computer programmer, but at night, he is a computer hacker that goes under the name Neo. One day he is sought out by the police and when he doesn’t know where to turn, he receives a phone in the mail with the caller being a very intelligent and powerful computer hacker named Morpheus (Fishburne) who is known as a terrorist by the police. He gives Thomas instructions on where to find him to give him the information that he needs to answer all of his questions about reality. I’m not going to spoil anything further than that for those of you who haven’t seen this, but those of you that have already know what happens next. I thought this movie was spectacular from the action scenes to the storyline. The story was great, the acting was great, the special effects were amazing to be coming from the 90’s, and it is just an overall fantastic sci-fi movie. Cons of this movie would be that it is confusing in the beginning, and can still be confusing throughout for some people, but you eventually pick up on what is going on when Morpheus explains it to Neo. I recommend anyone who hasn’t seen this movie to see it! FINAL SCORE: 98%= Juicy Popcorn

This movie has been inducted into The Juicy Hall of Fame.
