“Minority Report”

BONUS MOVIE REVIEW: A couple of nights ago, I got to see a very good movie called “Minority Report” which stars Tom Cruise (Oblivion, Edge of Tomorrow), Max von Sydow (Robin Hood (2010), Shutter Island), Steve Harris (The Practice, Quarantine), Neal McDonough (Flags of Our Fathers, Captain America: The First Avenger), Colin Farrel (Total Recall (2012), Phone Booth), Jim Rash (The Way Way Back, Community), Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother Where Art Thou?, Holes), Samantha Morton (John Carter, Control), and Jessica Capshaw (Grey’s Anatomy, Valentine). This movie takes place in 2054 where crimes have been cut down by 90% thanks to a new system called Precrime which allows cops to see crimes before they happen. To do this, they use three special humans called Pre-Cogs to predict the future by looking into the dreams that they have. The person that heads the Precrime is named John Anderton (Cruise) who is really good at what he does and believes fully in the system. However, one day the Pre-Cogs predict that John is going to murder someone within the next thirty-six hours. The whole department then tries to track John down before he murders this person (by the way, John never met the person is that he murders). To make himself innocent, John tries to find the minority report of the murder, which is a prediction made by the female Pre-Cog named Agatha (Morton) that might tell a different story than the other Pre-Cogs. I thought this movie was really good with a great story, great acting, great special effects, great action scenes, and a very good depiction of the future as told by the director Steven Spielberg. Cons of this movie are that it dragged in some parts through the middle of the movie and it got freaky in some scenes. Other than those this movie is fantastic and I recommend anyone to see it! FINAL SCORE: 93%= Juicy Popcorn

Changes have been made to this review after The Juicy Awards of 2014. They do not effect the results of what has previously been punched in for Movie of the Year.
