FRIDAY NIGHT/MOVIE THEATER REVIEW: I’ve been waiting to see this movie for a while and now that I have, it will be a joy to review it. The movie I’ve been waiting for is called “Guardians of the Galaxy” which stars Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation, The Lego Movie), Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek: Into Darkness), Dave Bautista (Riddick, WWE Smackdown!), Vin Diesel (The Fast and the Furious, The Pacifier), Bradley Cooper (The Hangover, American Hustle), Lee Pace (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Lincoln), Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead, Jumper), Karen Gillan (Doctor Who, Oculus), Djimon Hounsou (Constantine, Gladiator), John C. Reilly (Step Brothers, Wreck-It Ralph), Glenn Close (Tarzan, Air Force One), Benicio Del Toro (Traffic, The Unusual Suspects), and Josh Brolin (The Goonies, No Country for Old Men). The movie starts off with this kid named Peter Quill (Pratt) who just witnesses his mother die of cancer. Because he is so sad, he runs out of the hospital only to be abducted by people who aren’t from Earth. Twenty-six years later, Peter is an outlaw in the galaxy and goes on a mission to find an orb that a buyer wants and almost gets killed doing it. He soon realizes that there is something special about it when his buyer won’t take it after saying that there was something about Ronan the Accuser (Pace) wanting the orb. Thanos’s (Brolin) daughter named Gamora (Saldana) tries to take it from him for it holds power in it and two bounty hunters named Rocket Raccoon (Cooper) and his pet Groot (Diesel) want Peter because they find out he has a bounty for a lot of money on his head. They all end up getting caught and going to prison only to form a team together along with another inmate known as Drax the Destroyer (Bautista) to deliver the orb to the Collector (Del Torro) to make themselves rich. But little do they know that Ronan the Accuser is on their trail to get it and use its power to destroy the galaxy. I really loved this movie. I enjoyed the story, the acting, the special effects, and the action scenes. The movie was also funny which was another plus,it provided a fresher story with the new characters instead of using the others from the Avengers, and there is so much more to discover with the many planets in the galaxy. I also thought the chemistry between all of the guardians was great and as awesome as the Avengers itself. Cons of this movie were that some things seemed very impossible to happen. Yes I know that there is a lot of impossible stuff in this movie, but I mean certain things in this movies like someone who would’ve died, but didn’t (no spoilers though). Another con of this movie would have to be the final scene after the credits. I thought it was good, but it didn’t really hint at anything in the future, but rather make something funny after waiting minutes to see it. Other than those this movie was fantastic and I think that it is actually a little bit better than “The Avengers.” Anyone should see this movie because it is worth the money! FINAL SCORE: 96%= Juicy Popcorn
