August Movie Rankings

AUGUST MOVIE RANKINGS:

Another month has past and another movie rankings is here! With ten movies reviewed in the month of August, it has been a rather good month with two burnt popcorn movies and others pretty juicy. So lets get started on the August Movie Rankings of 2014!!!!!:

August 1

#10- “Noah”
66%= Burnt Popcorn
Pros: Great acting, great special effects, and great action scenes.
Cons: Ninety-eight percent of this movie isn’t anywhere close to what was said in the Bible, the beginning was slow and rocky, and it was hard to review because of my religious standpoint.

#9- “Mission Impossible II”
69%= Burnt Popcorn
Pros: Good acting, great action scenes, and good special effects.
Cons: It turned out to be more of a love story rather than completing a mission, the story was mediocre, and Ethan Hunt’s character seems to have changed.

August 2

#8- “Transcendence”
73%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Fantastic acting, amazing special effects, okay story, and interesting concept.
Cons: The middle began to drag and in parts the dialogue got boring and the ending wasn’t the most satisfying.

#7- “The Monuments Men”
74%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: It had a lot of heart, it was having to do with the arts, and the acting was phenomenal.
Cons: The story got slow in places making you have to check your watch.

August 3

#6- “Need for Speed”
78%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: The story was fine, the acting was good, the action scenes were great, the cars looked awesome, they didn’t have CGI in the racing scenes, and it had charisma.
Cons: It was a bit of a challenge to see Aaron Paul playing another character than Jesse Pinkman, and the movie got slow in story in the middle.

#5- “The ‘Burbs”
80%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: It was funny, the story did well, it was mysterious, and the acting was good.
Cons: The ending was weird in how they did it and the movie tended to drag.

August 4

#4- “Mission Impossible”
88%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: The story was great, it was thrilling, the action scenes were great, the acting was good, and the special effects were cool.
Cons: I was lost at the beginning (but eventually caught up) and even though the action scenes were great, there weren’t many of them.

#3- “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers”
89%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: It was better than the first one, the action scenes were awesome, the acting was great, the story was great, and the special effects were amazing.
Cons: The movie is very long (about three hours long).

August 5

#2- “Jaws”
92%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: The story is spectacular, the action scenes are great, the acting is really good, and pretty much anything Steven Spielberg makes is golden.
Cons: In some instances the dialogue got slow and the special effects are a little outdated (but it’s not very bad).

August 6

#1- “Guardians of the Galaxy”
93%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: The story was awesome, the acting was great, the action scenes were killer, the special effects were top-notch, it was funny, the music was great, the chemistry between the characters is smart, and it is fresh.
