NOVEMBER MOVIE RANKINGS:

Here we are, so close to December as well as the final reviews of the year. November has been an enjoyable one, as I’ve been able to look back on the “Star Wars” films again and learn some new things from old experiences. I didn’t review much this month, but I did review some classics and reach my 300th review, so that’s a job well done in my book. Read on to see this month’s movie rankings:

november 1

#8- “Star Wars: Episode II- Attack of the Clones”
68%= Burnt Popcorn
Pros: Good clone story arc, great music, okay acting, some good special effects, and some fun characters.
Cons: Cringing relationship between Padme and Anakin, some bad acting (Hayden Christensen), bad Padme-Anakin story arc, and not funny when it tries to be.

#7- “San Andreas”
70%= Burnt Popcorn
Pros: Entertaining, relatively good acting, good special effects overall, and some good scenes.
Cons: Unoriginal, cheesy, laughable at times, and some special effects aren’t good.

november 2

#6- “Star Wars: Episode I- The Phantom Menace”
73%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Darth Maul, great music, some good performances, some good special effects, okay story, and good characters.
Cons: Jar Jar Binks can get annoying, it drags, it can be boring, some acting is bad (Jake Lloyd), and some special effects are outdated.

#5- “Shaun the Sheep Movie” (300th review)
80%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Fun for the family, stellar animation, lovable characters, and entertaining.
Cons: Barely any plot, and with no dialogue it makes it hard to connect to a conflict.

#4- “Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith”
88%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Best Prequel, great music, great climax, great characters, fun battles, good special effects, good acting overall, and awesome scenes.
Cons: Some goofs, can drag, and some things make no sense.

#3- “Spectre”
89%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Terrific acting, fantastic directing, great locations, awesome action scenes, and good story.
Cons: Some scenes can drag, the villain isn’t there most of the time, and some minor story issues.

november 4

#2- “Mr. Holmes”
90%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Beautiful cinematography, great time period, amazing landscapes, interesting mystery, terrific acting, proper, and an enjoyable release.
Cons: The ending was cliché, the separate storyline with Japan didn’t really matter, and it can be slow.

november 5

#1- “The Gift”
92%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Intense, great story, awesome acting, thrilling, it gets in your head, eerie, and unpredictable towards the end.
Cons: Some camera shots make a scene predictable.

november 6

Juicy Hall of Fame Inductee“Star Wars: Episode VI- Return of the Jedi”
95%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Amazing conclusion, awesome fights, great ending, great acting, great music, fun characters (Boba Fett), deep themes, poetic, and cool special effects.
Cons: Takes a while to get the story rolling and some scenes are crude.

november 7

Juicy Hall of Fame Inductee- “Chinatown”
95%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros– Fantastic story and dialogue, great character, amazing acting, great directing, has a lot of twists towards the ending, the ending shocked me, cool characters, fun setting, and great mystery and musical score.
Cons– Can drag in some scenes.

november 8

Juicy Hall of Fame Inductee“Star Wars”
99%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Classic, terrific story, amazing performances, spectacular characters, and memorable scenes and special effects.
Cons: Nothing really, it’s just not perfect.

november 9

Juicy Hall of Fame Inductee“Star Wars: Episode V- The Empire Strikes Back”
99%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Classic scenes, great quotes, fun, amazing characters, Yoda is awesome, great special effects, terrific music, and lovable.
Cons: It’s not perfect (no noticeable cons).

There you go folks! Another movie rankings wrapped up, with only one month left. Whoever wins December will be facing “The Truman Show,” “Rocky,” “It’s Kind of a Funny Story,” “Rocky Balboa,” “Whiplash” (2014), “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Inside Out” (2015), “Ex Machina,” “Mission: Impossible- Rouge Nation,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Bridge of Spies,” and the newly elected candidate, “The Gift,” in January of 2016 to reveal who is the champion film of 2015!
