FEBRUARY MOVIE RANKINGS:

Coming from a busy month in January, this month looks to be lacking in review count. Sorry, but life has been busy. Expect more reviews than this month to be in store for the next.

february 1

#4- “Fantastic Four” (2015)
38%= Burnt Popcorn
Pros: A handful of special effects (mainly the Thing), and good opening.
Cons: Everything else.

#3- “Regression”
81%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Great acting, interesting story, great directing, and at times thrilling.
Cons: Can be predictable, can be more engaging, and the ending gave me mixed feelings.

february 2

#2- “Everest” (2015)
87%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Amazing visual effects, great acting, captivated me, and the ending was severely depressing, presenting a lasting impact on me as a viewer.
Cons: There were too many characters that this film tried to focus on and it can be predictable.

#2- “99 Homes”
87%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Terrific acting, new story to delve into, it is hard to watch at times, and the directing is great.
Cons: The ending could have been carried on longer as it cut off abruptly.

february 3

#1- “The Martian”
88%= Juicy Popcorn
Pros: Beautiful cinematography, great setting, fun adventure, great acting, and entertaining.
Cons: Besides the Matt Damon aspect, the story dragged and other than Matt Damon, the other characters weren’t that interesting.

There you have it! “The Martian” narrowly won the Movie of the Month for February and will compete against “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” “Sicario,” and the rest of the months’ winners at the beginning of next year to decide who will become the next Movie of the Year!
