IN THE DIRECTOR’S CHAIR WITH MEL BROOKS MARATHON RESULTS:

Although I don’t laugh as hard at Mel Brooks’ films as people did back in the day, the man has a way of crafting a wickedly entertaining feature. His writing style is unique, and his directing is difficult to not recognize with how actors deliver their performances. There were plenty of moments scattered across these movies that I laughed hysterically because of the lunacy of it all. Everyone is serious in these absurd circumstances, and that is what Brooks is known for. I enjoyed studying his technique, not only in the sense of a regular production, but also in parody form since he loves to mock other people’s work. If you haven’t seen these works of art, I implore you too. Don’t let my scoring of them fool you (though “The Twelve Chairs” is too sluggish for my tastes). Also, for those who are wondering, I do have plenty of more features directed by Brooks, and I look forward to have another director’s marathon with the mastermind again.
